Job Description

The Marketing Director will be the VP of Growth & Marketing's #1 resource for campaign execution. Ideally with experience at an agency, this person will have had to deal with multiple different types of marketing problems or campaigns for a wide range of companies or situations. Such a knowledge base should give this person the ability to tackle non-traditional marketing problems and deal with onerous restrictions on what tools and strategies are available to use. This role will be handling many needs at once, mostly related to content creation, distribution and event marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Managing weekly+ email campaigns to user base
  • Managing multiple blog posts a week (major plus for candidates that can also write content)
  • Daily content posting on various social media accounts
  • Managing lead capture lists from landing pages, events, and campaigns
  • Organize trade show and event sponsorship execution with contractors
  • Manage swag creation and inventory
  • Participate in creative direction and brainstorming for campaigns
  • Provide weekly reports w/ Marketing Analyst to VP of Growth and Marketing
  • Represent the company at certain industry trade shows and marketing events

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience working at an agency in various roles, handling multiple types of campaigns for different clients (brand experience will also be considered)
  • Fluent with multiple marketing tools and channels for content, distribution, email, and advertising
  • Experience with content from writing and designing to formatting the content for distribution on blog and email campaigns
  • Experience working with multiple social media platforms for content distribution
  • Have good instincts for the visuals and messaging that work in unison to engage audiences on those platforms best
  • Graphic design experience is a plus, but not required
  • Understanding of basic marketing KPIs for each tool and platform and how to read Insights provided
  • Have strong project management, coordination and organization skills
  • Experience with the cannabis industry is very important
  • High energy, self-starter
  • Very creative and strong problem solving skills, adaptability is critical
  • Ability to pursue long-term projects through to completion
  • Data-driven decision maker
